Philip joined Dyer as a Director in 2000, having previously worked in the UK and mainland Europe for practices including Swanke Hayden Connell and Building Design Partnership (BDP). To date, he has over 25 years’ experience in architectural practice across a range of market sectors in both the public and private realms. As a concept-focused Director, Philip is responsible for developing and maintaining the high quality of the practice’s design work: ensuring delivery of the best and most appropriate design solutions on programme, to budget and in keeping with the integrity of the original vision. Philip has won numerous awards for his work, including the John Keppie Scholarship and the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) Silver Medal. He has also won several high-profile conceptual design and ideas competitions at international level and his work has been widely published. Philip is known at Dyer for his enthusiasm about every project he works on and every client he works with. He has represented the practice at many conferences and thinktanks and has co-facilitated workshops on ‘sustainable architectural solutions to modern learning campuses’.

Tamas joined Dyer in April 2007, having previously worked in France and Hungary. He has an exemplary academic and research background, with particular emphasis on the positive social effects of mixed use development. Through scholarships and intern programs, he has studied in France, the USA and his native Hungary. He has won multiple awards. Tamas was made Associate in 2009 and was promoted to Regional Director in 2011. He has day-to-day responsibility for running jobs. He is skilled in all aspects of team leadership and in liaising with clients, contractors and consultants. He is experienced at taking clients from early concept through design development on international level including several large scale projects in Russia. Tamas’ role requires flexibility to deal with different contexts and the vision to propose inspired solutions. Tamas’ design expertise has led to involvement in work across a wide range of sectors and scales. Having worked on several leisure and retail schemes in his career, he has consolidated his portfolio with several complex mixed use developments. This include residential Masterplans, high rise apartment and office buildings, shopping and leisure schemes.

BALAZS DOMOKOS, MScArch, ARB, MEK, SEK. Balazs joined Dyer in September 2010, having previously studied and worked in Germany and Hungary. He has an exemplary academic background, and won several scholarships and design awards. Balazs specializes in conceptual design and has been central to the practice’s success in securing work through highprofile architectural competitions. This design expertise has led to involvement in work across a wide range of sectors and scales. Balazs’ role requires mental agility in understanding different contexts, the flexibility to deal with contrasting briefs and the vision to propose inspired solutions. Having worked on several mixed use schemes in his career, he has consolidated his portfolio with major residential and office projects, retail schemes and master planning developments. Balazs’ broader interests include a passion for sustainable development and the public realm. His portfolio has a particularly international flavor, with projects in UK, Hungary and the Russian Federation where he is the leading designer on a series of projects that range from office and residential towers to mixed use developments. In 2008-09 he worked at Budapest University of Technology’s Residential Design Department as Design Tutor. Balazs has worked on sustainable projects extending his experiences in BREEAM and other sustainable systems. In 2021, he received Europe 40under40 Award for 2020. The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design have announced 40 winners, the world's rising figures in the field of architecture and design and their stand-out and out of box projects.

William Lees BArch DipArch RIBA RIAS - William joined Dyer in June 2006 and has worked for the practice as both a ‘Part I’ Graduate (2006-2007) and a qualified ‘Part II’ Architectural Assistant (2011 onwards). He is now studying for his Part III while in practice. He is a motivated and highly skilled graduate team member that is contributing to Dyer’s success as a growing architectural practice and training focused-employer. William’s particular interest and emerging expertise is in the design of mixed-use schemes, particularly as part of complex Masterplans. This is linked to his background in urban design, featuring in various design-led exhibitions and events. His diploma thesis focused on designs for a Contemporary Arts Centre in the heart of Glasgow, a project that positively displayed the complexities and excitement of designing within tight urban constraints. Since then he has successfully coordinated the Tower Vaults Retail project from conception through to completion.

Gyula’s Dyer résumé includes many public interest projects in the retail, residential and educational sectors. At strategic level, this involves the masterplanning of the public realm and he has worked with many private developers on large-scale urban projects involving a mix of uses, as well as public and semi-public clients. A skilled team leader, Gyula has worked with a number of procurement models. He has particular expertise in public consultation: developing briefs in close collaboration with end-users. Gyula is managing complex teams and programs, working in collaboration with multiple stakeholders to create successful mixed-use developments that enhance a sense of place. He is skilled at assessing both current and future needs, strategizing so that work can be carried out on a phased basis with minimal disruption to existing sites. His international portfolio is consolidated with largescale developments in Russia, UK and his native Hungary. He has over 8 years’ experience in the field of design on various scales of projects. He has previously worked in Banati and Hartvig Architects and in Klaus Hollenbeck Architects in Cologne, Germany. He has specific experience in commercial projects and residential masterplans. He is also passionate about sustainable technologies.

Tamas leads Dyer’s technology research and development group which is currently functioning and continuously developing a database managed system which is coordinating drawings, specifications, and briefing requirements with our 3-dimensional Building Information Model (BIM) environment. Tamas is an experienced architect, with particular expertise in the use of ArchiCAD. He has excellent working knowledge of both 2D and 3D technical design and in tailoring the product to the needs and skills base of the practice. As a leading member of Dyer’s CAD co-ordination team, his work is central to our exemplary, qualitymanaged processes at both design and delivery stages. Tamas’ international portfolio takes in projects at a range of scales, from large mixed use high-rise developments to bespoke family houses. He works with design teams from concept to completion, with a production and coordination role related to all types of drawing packages. He has sound experience of client, contractor and subcontractor liaison and of various procurement routes, including Design & Build and traditional contracts.
