Dyer was invited into an on-going project where the design team had to create a distinctive, inviting but still rational interior design on a strict budget for the regional shopping centre, already under construction.
The interior architectural design utilises contemporary materials and natural light to create a calm and pleasant retail environment. The distinct rectangular shapes and unique lines throughout the interior were crafted to echo a graceful fluidity and achieve a holistic design for the development.
Stunning multi-storey atrium allows natural daylight to flood into the internal retail galleries. Dyer used, in retail interiors this unusual vertical expression of the atrium to create a layered central core, by crafting the bulkheads and ceilings with the same linear motifs. This linear expression of the bulkheads is only interrupted by frame-like structures, which identify breakout spaces with comfortable lounge seating.
To achieve the desired elegant style we also introduced a touch of golden and timber material highlights, combined with black recessed linear zones for coordinated technical and various mechanical elements. The grand spaces create an open retail expression that enhances sightlines and augments the focus on merchandising within the mall.
